Tim Burton has certainly done a few good flicks, undeniably. Ed Wood being his best movie and then came back with diminishing returns. He (quite unfortunatly) indulges too much in his own teen goth, inner child. He's fine, his movies are ok for the most part (apart from that shmaltzy piece of crap, Big Fish. Seriously, that shit eating grin for an entire movie is physically painful) he has a tendancy to fall victim to his own vanity.

when Kevin Smith did his college tour (like he did at ECU in Greenville NC) he would talk until they made him leave. He spoke for almost 5 hours. He also tested jokes that went into the Clerks II movie on the road before using them. Ass to mouth was definately used at the show in Greenville. Very funny mofo in person. Great time.

Good point. From now on, I shall try and popularise the term "fuckin' x". Because X is, naturally, the coolest letter of all. The rest of the alphabet is small and weak in comparison- yes, even the stealthy Z.

Dude Tim Burton's a genius, and whoever can't see it, has something wrong. Sure he's a litte, kookie, and weird, at least he's not afraid to show it, like all the plastics in the world. At least he's doing this whole movie thing because he loves it, not just because he wants to be ritch and famous. It's cool to joke around, but no touchie the Burton.

Kevin always cracks me up, and he's especially funny when talking about gay stuff. I think his words have opened many minds while making people laugh. The people who attack his work for being homophobic are clearly only hearing certain words on the surface and not paying attention to his message. For another great example of funny gay material that might seem offensive but delivers an important message, do a YouTube search for "MAYBE GAY RAY."

That decision, to not release Batman's origin fully, was not Tim Burton's, it was Sam Hamm's. If you are giving Batman fault for it's plot, that has less to do with Tim Burton and more to do with Sam Hamm. Tim Burton didn't write the script.Even with that, I think that the second Batman film, Batman Returns, which Tim Burton had way more creative control over, fared much better than the 1st.However, the first one was not that great, which I concede to.

The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie, Mars Attacks! aren't original then? Also, the Burton Bat movies were awesome. Lets see "A triumph. You can't take your eyes off it." Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
