Oh dear, 'basic' is the correct term here.Its not exactly University level is it?Aim for clear direct and an unfussy style with three main parts. A punchy openin, main body and crisp conclusion. You should present your argument in a non bias manner and any facts that you produce MUST be backed up with evidence. The key challenge is to develop a sense of your audience and to put your point across in a way that will convince the reader, but not force them to believe you.
